Andre Drummond is on the move.
As first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired the 26-year-old centre from the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons will receive Brandon Knight, John Henson and a second-round pick, as reported by The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.

Drummond's name had been lingering in the trade market but the Cavaliers were not thought to be as a potential suitor. O'Connor also reported that this trade comes as a salary dump for Detroit, avoiding the possibility that Drummond opts into his $28.7 million player option next season while the Cavaliers get a "discounted opportunity" to see what the centre can do with their former top draft picks Collin Sexton and Darius Garland.
Drummond is amidst one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 17.8 points, 15.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. His 17.8 points per game marks a career-best while his 15.8 rebounds per game lead the NBA. Drummond has led the league in rebounding in three of the last four seasons and is on his way to his fourth time in five years.
As for Knight and Henson, they haven't seen much action this season. Knight has only played in 16 games and is averaging 4.9 points per game while Henson has appeared in 29 games and is averaging 5.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
