The Boston Celtics have announced that they have signed undrafted rookie centre Tacko Fall to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Alongside Fall, the Celtics have also signed 2019 second-round pick Tremont Waters, undrafted rookie Max Strus and guard Javonte Green to fill out their training camp roster.

Celtics loyalists were thrilled about the signing of Fall, apparently blowing up the team's official Twitter account out of excitement.

Fall, the 7-foot-6 centre out of the University of Central Florida became a fan favourite at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Fall averaged 7.2 points (77% FG), 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 12.6 minutes per game in Vegas. With the Celtics' lack of depth at the centre position, this works as a low-risk, high-reward signing for a team that had open roster spots.

A few weeks back, Celtics' General Manager Danny Ainge had commented on how Boston plans to take pride in the development of Fall, "We want to take his development very, very seriously. He's a high priority for us to try and really develop as a player."

They will now have that opportunity to watch the 23-year old centre grow in their organization. The terms of the contract have yet to be released.
