At 42-years-old Vince Carter continues to defy Father Time.

The Atlanta Hawks veteran added another milestone to his illustrious career, becoming just the fifth player in NBA history to play in 1500 career games.

Carter joins Robert Parish (1,611 games), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1,560), Dirk Nowitzki (1,522) and John Stockton (1,504) as the only players to reach the mark.

He ticked off the milestone when he checked into the game with 6:03 remaining in the first quarter against the Miami Heat and it didn't take long for him to get going, knocking down three 3-pointers in the period.

He finished the game with 12 points, four assists and three rebounds as the Hawks went down 135-121 in overtime.

Carter, who has played in 19 of the Hawks’ 24 games this season, could pass Nowitzki and Stockton on the all-time games played list later this season.
