Trae Young buries clutch floater as Atlanta Hawks snap Philadelphia 76ers six-game win streak image

Trae Young came up with the clutch bucket with 0.1 seconds remaining to give the Atlanta Hawks a 129-127 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the score tied at 127-127, Young got the ball on the inbound and created enough separation from Jimmy Butler to bury the floater to snap Philly's six-game win streak.

A layup from Taurean Prince tied the game up at 127-127 with 27.5 seconds left, with the 76ers unable to respond after a 24-second violation saw Butler's miss waived off, setting the stage for Young to ice the game.

Young finished the game with 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting, adding 11 assists and six rebounds, his 26th double-double of the season. Prince scored 23 points, while Dewayne Dedmon recorded 17 points and eight rebounds.

Both teams started the game on fire, trading buckets through the first quarter, with the 76ers closing the period on a 14-6 run to take a 41-34 lead.

Atlanta responded immediately, opening the second quarter on a 14-7 run of their own to tie things up at 48-48, with Young scoring seven points in the run.

The Hawks continued to find scoring opportunities in the pick-and-roll, with Young and Collins combining well as the 76ers struggled to contain the pair. They took a 74-68 lead into the half, with Young finishing with 21 points and six assists.

Atlanta stretched the lead to 12 points in the third before Philly came to life, closing the quarter on a 15-3 run, with JJ Redick's 3-pointer tying things up at 100-100 heading into the fourth.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler added 25, Ben Simmons 21 and Redick 14.

Despite the loss, the 76ers remain in the third seed in the Eastern Conference at 47-26, three games clear of the Indiana Pacers.
