With the 2018-19 season right around the corner, let's take a look at some of the NBA stars who are set to break historic milestones this season...

Vince Carter — Atlanta Hawks

Carter enters his 21st season, which will tie him with Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Robert Parish and Kevin Willis for most seasons played.

He is 132 points away from 25,000 career points and 325 points away from passing Jerry West at No. 12 all-time.

Stephen Curry — Golden State Warriors

Curry will inch closer to owning every 3-point award imaginable this season. He is only 24 3s behind Jamal Crawford (who is currently a free agent) from cracking the top-5 for most 3s made all-time.

LeBron James — Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron is currently 149 points away from passing Dirk at No. 6 on the all-time scoring list. He is 383 points away from entering the top-five all-time by passing Wilt Chamberlain and 1,249 points away from passing Michael Jordan for 4th all-time.

LeBron is 317 assists away from cracking the top-10 on the assists leaderboard.

Dirk Nowitzki — Dallas Mavericks

Nowitzki enters his 21st season, which will be the most seasons played for one franchise in NBA history. It will tie him with Vince Carter, Kevin Garnett, Robert Parish and Kevin Willis for most seasons played, too.

Dirk is 233 points away from passing Wilt Chamberlain on the all-time scoring list.

Chris Paul — Houston Rockets

Paul is 354 assists away from reaching 7th all-time, passing Gary Payton and Isiah Thomas.

Paul is 68 steals away from entering the top-10 all-time, passing Mookie Blaylock and Moses Malone.

Russell Westbrook — Oklahoma City Thunder

Westbrook is four triple-doubles shy of passing Jason Kidd for third most all-time. He's also 34 triple-doubles away from passing Magic Johnson for second most all-time (he had 29 last season).

Westbrook is 383 points away from passing former teammate Kevin Durant as the 2nd all-time scorer in Oklahoma City Thunder/Seattle Supersonics history and 1,024 points away from passing Gary Payton as the all-time leading scorer in Oklahoma City Thunder/Seattle Supersonics history.
