Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of their game against the Miami Heat and will not return, the team announced.

The 21-year-old suffered the injury on a drive to the basket, landing on Miami Heat forward Justise Winslow's foot, staying down in back play with 9:57 remaining in the quarter.
Young was helped off the court to the Hawks locker room and appeared to not be able to put weight on his right foot.

He exited the game with five points, two assists, two rebounds and one steal.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the injury does not appear to be serious, with Young set to undergo an MRI in the coming days.

Young has gotten off to a blistering start this season, averaging 34 points, nine assists and six rebounds through three games and was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
