Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and current world number 1 Neeraj Chopra has secured permission to train in Finland as preparation ahead of World Athletics events.
The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC), on Thursday, approved the 24-year-old's proposal to train in Kuortane, Finland.

Chopra is set to take part in multiple world athletics gold level events in June. He has so far confirmed his participation at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games in Hengelo, Netherlands on June 4 and the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on June 13.
He started the year with a gold medal at Doha Diamond League and will aim to win more accolades in the upcoming events.

The Indian javelin thrower is currently ranked No 1 in world, with1455 points, 22 more than second-placed Anderson Peters.
Other than taking part in the FBK Games and Paavo Nurmi Games, he will also take part in the 2023 Asian Games where he will defend his gold medal.
