India's Neeraj Chopra created history in Budapest on Sunday as he became the first Indian athlete to win gold medals at both the Olympics and World Athletics Championships.
Chopra finished top of the table at the end of an intense battle with a highest points tally of 88.17m.

The Indian was closely followed by Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem who won the silver medal with the highest throw of 87.82m. Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch finished third with a throw of 86.67m..
Neeraj Chopra: Javelin Throw Olympic and World Champion
India's golden boy has now won a gold medal at both the Olympics and the World Athletics Champions.
After creating history in Tokyo two years back by becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics, he has now become the first Indian to bag the gold at the World Athletics Champions.
Prior to Chopra, only Anju Bobby Goerge had won the Bronze for India at the World Athletics Champions in 2003.

How did other Indian javelin throwers perform at the World Athletics Championships?
Other than Neeraj Chopra, Kishore Jena and DP Manu represented India at the World Athletics Championships.
In their maiden appearances in the competition, Jena finished fifth with the highest throw of 84.77m while Manu finished just behind him with a throw of 84.14m.
