The 2024 WNBA regular season has been a historic one for individual play. Before the focus fully shifts to the eight playoff teams set to vie for the 2024 WNBA title, the league will honor the standout individuals who have rewritten the league's record books.
As the WNBA playoffs get going, the league will announce end-of-season award winners for Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player in addition to the All-WNBA, All-Defensive and All-Rookie Teams.
Thanks to this year's Olympic break, the 2024 WNBA season ends slightly later than normal, meaning award winners will be announced later than last season.
Here is everything we know about when the WNBA will officially announce 2024 award winners.

When are the WNBA's end-of-season award winners announced?
The dates for 2024 announcements are not yet known but we can look back to last year's announcements for an idea. The 2023 WNBA regular season ended on Sept. 10 and the rollout of award winners began one week later.
The winner for each award was revealed on the following dates:
- Coach of the Year: Sept. 17, 2023
- Sixth Player of the Year: Sept. 18, 2023
- Most Improved Player: Sept. 21, 2023
- Defensive Player of the Year: Sept. 22, 2023
- Most Valuable Player: Sept. 26, 2023
- Rookie of the Year: Oct. 2, 2023
The 2024 regular season ends on Sept. 19 — nine later than the end of the 2023 season. As a result, award announcements will come later in the month.
It is unclear whether or not the league will announce awards in the same order as the 2023 season.
