The next generation of WNBA stars are finally here. Let's get the season going.

The draftees invited to New York brought all the looks to the Orange Carpet, from Caitlin Clark's Prada fit to Angel Reese's hooded silver dress. There wasn't a miss in sight.

And the teams brought it, too.

No surprise, Clark became the latest to go No. 1 with the Fever's selection of the native Iowan. The Sparks followed it up by selected Cameron Brink second as well as Rickea Jackson No. 4. It's a scary sight in Los Angeles. 

Speaking up the biggest picks of the night, Chicago selected Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese with the third and seventh picks of the night. The SEC rivals are now teammates.

The draft may be over, but the work begins now. All 36 draftees will have to fight for a spot on their respective rosters with only a month to go until opening day. Welcome to the W.

9:44 p.m. – That'll do it. The 2024 WNBA Draft is wrapped up.

8:41 p.m. – From one A to the next, Nyadiew Puoch is the final pick of the first round of the draft. She joins the Atlanta Dream.

8:37 p.m. – Marquesha Davis is New York dreaming.

8:31 p.m. – It's sunny in France. Connecticut chooses Leïla Lacan.

8:28 p.m. – The Wings go overseas! Carla Leite out of France will join Dallas.

8:25 p.m. – From Utah to Minnesota, Alissa Pili is a Lynx.

8:17 p.m. – Angel Reese, see you in Chicago. The LSU Tiger joins her Cardoso with the Sky.

8:12 p.m. – You can't take the girl out of the northeast. UConn's Aaliyah Edwards is selected by the Mystics.

8:08 p.m. – It's time for Jacy Sheldon to learn to fly. The Buckeye is headed to Dallas as the first Ohio State player drafted in the first round since 2018.

8:00 p.m. – With the No. 4 pick, the Sparks choose Rickea Jackson! The Vol goes Hollywood.

7:56 p.m. – From Brazil to Columbia to Chicago. Kamilla Cardoso is joining the Sky.

7:50 p.m. – The California girl is staying home! Cameron Brink is heading to Los Angeles.

7:40 p.m. – There it is. Caitlin Clark is headed to Indy as the No. 1 pick of the 2024 WNBA draft.

7:10 p.m. – So nice Rickea Jackson had to pull off a fit twice!

6:55 p.m. – The next gen starts now.

6:00 p.m. – What better place to hold the draft than the Brooklyn Academy of Music?

5:41 p.m. – Red wig out, red suit in.

5:16 p.m. – Caitlin Clark was dressed by Prada for the draft. It's the first time the brand has ever dressed anyone for a WNBA or NBA draft.

4:36 p.m. – Angel Reese bringing the heat.

4:14 p.m. – The No. 1 pick is ready to go.
