The most anticipated season in WNBA history will soon give way to perhaps the most anticipated All-Star Game in WNBA history. It just won't be played the traditional way.

Because this is an Olympic year, the WNBA All-Stars will instead face off with Team USA's 5-on-5 Olympic women's basketball roster before they head off to Paris.

What if a player who would ordinarily be a WNBA All-Star is on Team USA? There are quite a few of those cases, including Aces star A'ja Wilson. Those players were removed from consideration after the voting period.

Here's a first look at the WNBA All-Star roster, as well as the U.S. Olympic roster set to face Team WNBA in the annual showcase.

The impact of this year's rookie class was evident in All-Star voting, as two rookies (Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese) were selected for the first time since 2014. Clark and Reese are locked in hotly contested Rookie of the Year battle at the midway point of the season.
