Los Angeles Sparks guard Riquna Williams has been arrested on charges of burglary and aggravated assault after an alleged altercation with her ex-girlfriend.
According to the Palm Beach Post, which cited the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Williams was booked Monday on the charges stemming from an alleged Dec. 6 incident in Pahokee, Fla. She was later arrested April 22 in Miami-Dade County on a warrant in that case.
The report noted Williams "forced her way into a home off McClure Road (on the evening of Dec. 6) after hitting the door with a skateboard and attacked someone in the home with whom she had been in a relationship."
Williams has remained in jail on $20,000 bond.
The Sparks have yet to release a statement on the matter, though the team is scheduled to open preseason play May 11. The regular season tips off May 26.
Williams, 28, was selected 17th overall by the Tulsa Shock in 2012. She was then traded to the Sparks ahead of the 2016 season.
