There's no currency more valuable in basketball than points.
The game's greatest players tend to produce more points than most. Getting to your spot and dropping baskets over even the most dogged of defenders is a skillset that will never go under-appreciated in basketball circles.
The WNBA is no exception. Those who place the ball on target represent some of the league's highest-paid and highest-profile talents. Whether it's firing off arrows from beyond the arc or slaloming through the lane for layups through contact, those who are able to score at an elite rate tend to last long in women basketball's top flight division.
Including repeat performers, just 13 different players have averaged more than 22 points a game over the course of a full season in the WNBA. Even in a sport that has embraced high-tempo play, high-level scorers are still worth their weight in gold.
With that, here's what you need to know about the highest-scoring seasons in WNBA history, both by scoring average and total points scored.
