Canada Basketball has revealed its women's national team roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The roster is headlined by WNBA players Washington Mystics star rookie Aaliyah Edwards and Los Angeles Sparks guard Kia Nurse. Minnesota Lynx forward Natalie Achonwa is set to become Canada's first-ever four-time Olympian for women's basketball.

That trio will look to lead Canada to its first podium finish at the Olympics. Its best result was a fourth-place finish at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.

When is basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

  • Dates: July 28-Aug. 11
  • Locations: Pierre Mauroy Stadium (Lille, France); Bercy Arena (Paris)

The women's basketball tournament will begin on July 28 and run through Aug. 11. The preliminary phase will be played at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France, before the final phase shifts to Bercy Arena in Paris.

Canada will be in Group B for the Olympics, joined by Australia, Nigeria and the host country, France. Canada's first women's basketball game will be played on July 29 against France.
