Caitlin Clark is starting to settle into her role as a WNBA star rookie. But that hasn't translated to wins for the Fever.

The No. 1 overall pick was coming off the best game of her young career going into Thursday's contest against the Storm. She delivered her first 30-point game in her last outing, but it came in an 88-82 loss for Indiana.

Clark couldn't repeat that performance against Seattle, but the result remained the same. The Fever were routed by the Storm, 103-88, and the 22-year-old guard still can't shake the turnover bug.

Clark had another seven giveaways against Seattle, extending her WNBA lead to 51 turnovers. That is 21 more than the next-closest player — her opponent, Storm guard Skylar Diggins-Smith.

The Fever (1-8) sit in second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference, above only the winless Mystics. The Storm (5-3) have bounced back from a 1-3 start, winning four games in a row including Thursday's victory.

Caitlin Clark highlights vs. Seattle Storm

Clark made an impact on the offensive end to keep the Fever close at the half. She had 12 points and three assists at the break, knocking down two of her four 3-point attempts.

The star point guard delivered a dime to NaLyssa Smith, who is excelling in her first game back in Indiana's starting lineup after Temi Fagbenle went down with a foot injury in Tuesday's loss.

Smith had a game-high 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field, including this wide-open layup created by Clark's court vision.

Clark started to catch fire from 3-point range in the second quarter. She buried two triples, then exchanged some words with Storm guard Victoria Vivians.

The Fever were completely outmatched in the second half, however. Clark had five turnovers after the break, tallying another seven-giveaway night. She dished out another six assists but scored just eight points and shot 1-for-4 from 3 in the final two quarters.

Indiana suffered its eighth loss of the season. Jewell Loyd's 23 points and six assists propelled the red-hot Storm.
