Angel Reese-Reese's Pieces partnership, explained: How Sky rookie's fan base helped land Hershey's sponsorship image

Angel Reese is one of the WNBA's biggest up-and-coming stars, and she has the fan base to prove it.

With a personality as extroverted as hers, what better way to connect with her followers than to give them a shared identity?

The rookie has gone to social media to express her thoughts on naming her fan base and her chosen nickname is beginning to catch on, so much so that she earned a brand deal related to the name.

Is Angel Reese sponsored by Hershey's?

Reese inked a deal with Hershey's, the chocolate company that produces the Reese's Pieces and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Nick DePaula reported.

This deal had been rumored for over a month, as TMZ reported the two sides were in discussion.

This came after the official Reese's X account commented on the WNBA All-Star's initial post about naming her fan base.

A Hershey's spokesperson told TMZ Sports in July that they were interested in working with the WNBA star. And Reese has shared in the past that she's a fan of the chocolate peanut butter candy, even suiting up in custom Reese's shoes at the end of June.

On Tuesday, news was shared that Reese, whose rookie season recently came to a close due to an injury, would be appearing on a new-look Reese's Puffs cereal box.

Reese's Puffs has worked with multiple well-known athletes lately, as the Kelce brothers recently helped create the "Kelce Mix," combining the cereal with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms in one box.
