For the first time in a year, Serena Williams is taking part in a singles match.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion was forced to retire at Wimbledon last year after tearing her hamstring in her opening match.

Now, she's back on the grass courts of SW19. She'll have some youthful competition this time around, facing off against France's Harmony Tan. Tan, a right-handed player, enters Tuesday's match ranked No. 115 in the world.

The 24-year-old has yet to face a player of Williams' caliber in her short career, and will be playing a main-draw match at Wimbledon for the first time

Nonetheless, the eyes of the tennis world will be fixated on Williams as she looks to find magic on that grassy Wimbledon court.
