Game Preview
The Raptors’ cardio will get tested on Tuesday when the Kings come to town. After playing at a snail’s pace a season ago, the Kings now play at one of the fastest paces in the NBA.
De’Aaron Fox has the keys to this new NASCAR-like offence and he’s enjoying a breakout season in his second year in the league. Through 47 games, Fox is averaging 17.4 points and 7.3 assists on 46% shooting from the field.

Former lottery pick Buddy Hield has also seen a jump in his production averaging a career-high 20.3 points and 5.0 rebounds on 48% shooting from the field and 46% from three.
Hield and Willie Cauley-Stein both had solid outings in the Raptors’ 114-105 win over Sacramento on Nov. 7 with 24 points each. It will be interesting to see how Nick Nurse’s bunch decides to guard the two in the second and final meeting between the teams this season.
Kawhi Leonard led all scorers in the first meeting with 25 points. He also pulled down 11 rebounds in the win.
Leonard had a scheduled maintenance checkup on Monday, according to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg. The team expects him back on Tuesday — no word on whether or not he’ll play.
O.G. Anunoby has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game. He’s been excused from the team on personal leave. He could be back in the lineup on Wednesday in Indiana.
Game Notes
The Raptors will complete a three-game home stand Tuesday night.
The Raptors are an Eastern Conference-best 13-5 (.722) against West opponents.
The Raptors also have an opportunity to sweep the season series against Sacramento for the fourth time in team history.
The Raptors scored 38 points off 26 turnovers in Saturday's matchup with the Grizzlies, including a 21-0 edge in the third quarter. C.J. Miles led the team with a career-high tying five steals, while five other players recorded multiple steals – Norman Powell (3), Delon Wright (3), Danny Green (2), Fred VanVleet (2) and Kyle Lowry (2).
That win vs. Memphis marked the 20th time this season the Raptors have made at least 12 3-pointers in a game.
