The Toronto Raptors have announced that guard Patrick McCaw underwent arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday.
According to the team, McCaw had a benign mass removed from the back of his left knee. The procedure was done by Dr. Riley Williams in New York City.
No timetable has been set for McCaw's returns, he will be re-evaluated in four weeks time.
The Raptors say he won't travel with the team on the upcoming West Coast road trip set to begin on Friday.
The 24-year-old missed four of Toronto's first six games most recently sitting out the Raptors' 115-105 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
McCaw played 26 games for the Raptors last season averaging 2.7 points, 1.7 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game.
