On Monday, the Toronto Raptors announced that Gary Trent Jr. has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Trent Jr. joins Pascal Siakam and Dalano Banton on the Raptors' health and safety protocols list.

Toronto's players opted for individual workouts at the team's OVO Athletic Centre on Monday instead of team practice.

The Raptors are now up to two game postponements after their Monday night contest against the Orlando Magic was put on hold on Sunday.

Per the NBA, a player that enters the league's health and safety protocols must be sidelined for 10 days or record two negative PCR tests in a 24-hour period before they can resume basketball activities.

Trent Jr. is averaging a career-high 16.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and a league-leading 2.2 steals per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three.

The Raptors reportedly signed Brandon Goodwin and Juwan Morgan to 10-day hardship contracts in the wake of their trio of players entering COVID-19 protocols.

When do the Raptors play next?

The Raptors will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 22, when they travel to Chicago to face the Bulls. They will then close the year with matchups against the Cleveland Cavaliers (Dec. 26), Philadelphia 76ers (Dec. 28) and LA Clippers (Dec. 31).
