Head coach Dwane Casey is coming off a Coach of the Year type season helping guide the Raptors to a franchise-best 59 wins in the regular season.
After defeating the Wizards in the first round of the playoffs, Casey's Raptors have once again run into the buzzsaw that is LeBron James.
Down 3-0 and with swirling rumours about his job security, the longest tenured Raptors' coach is getting support from the coach who's leading the charge to his playoff elimination - Tyronn Lue.
"That’s crazy," Lue said of the rumours of Casey's dismissal via cleveland.com.
"I mean, to change a team who they said played iso basketball, to being top three, I guess, in offence and defence this year, the second-best record in the NBA, like, it's just, I don't believe that one bit.
"I mean, it would be absurd to make a move like that."
Lue's Cavaliers have dominated Casey's Raptors in the post-season winning nine straight and 14 of their last 16 contest in the playoffs.
In seven season with Toronto Casey has a 320-238 record in the regular season - the only Raptors' coach who can boast a record over .500.
In the playoffs, however, he's below .500 (21-29) heading into Game 4 on Monday.
