Wasn’t initially entered in the event so had to come through qualifying — and it paid off! Congrats, @felixtennis 🔥 pic.twitter.com/ojEJ3o3z8j
Despite playing the maximum number of matches required to make it to Saturday's final, Auger-Aliassime showed no signs of fatigue in making quick work of his Polish opponent. Requiring just over an hour to secure victory, Auger-Aliassime rode a strong service game (seven aces, one double fault, 100 percent break points saved) to a dominant victory over the 22-year-old Majchrzak.
Sealed with a second serve ace. Felix Auger-Aliassime is the champion in Tashkent!
