Felix Auger-Aliassime failed to make his third consecutive tournament final after falling in three sets to Feliciano Lopez 6-7(3), 6-3, 6-4 at the Queen's Club Championships in London on Saturday.
The 18-year-old looked strong early in the first set, but Lopez managed to rally and force a tiebreaker. There, Auger-Aliassime fell behind 2-1 before winning six of the next seven points to take the first set 7-6(3).

In the second set, things didn't go well for Auger-Aliassime. He found himself down 3-0 early and just couldn't get any momentum going as Lopez took the middle frame 6-3.
The third set would see Auger-Aliassime jump out to a 2-1 lead, but it wouldn't last. Lopez won four of the next five games to set up a match point. Auger-Aliassime managed to stave off four match points and was able to force a 10th game. Lopez dominated the game, taking the third set and match 6-4.

Despite the loss, the Montreal native has played well over his last few tournaments, but that first tournament title still eludes him.
