Milos Raonic followed his semifinal run at the Indian Wells Masters with a third-round exit at the 2019 Miami Open. The world No. 14 Raonic was defeated by No. 22 Kyle Edmund 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday afternoon.
Raonic bested Edmunds in their only previous meeting in 2017 but was unable to muster the same result this time around. He struggled with consistency on his serve, and despite landing eight aces in the match, the Canadian landed just 51 percent of his first serves in bounds. To add insult to injury, Raonic only won 48 percent of his second serve points.
Struggling slightly with his movement, Milos Raonic goes down 6-4, 6-4 to Kyle Edmund in the third round of the #MiamiOpen.

A successful March, nevertheless! Time for some much-needed recovery time. pic.twitter.com/65uhwAo5nB
Edmunds also faced issues with his first serve but compensated by winning 70 percent of second serve points. He broke Raonic's serve twice while never conceding a breakpoint.
