Denis Shapovalov is one of eight remaining players in the 2019 Miami Open. The 19-year-old defeated world No. 10 Stefanos Tsitsipas 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(3) early Wednesday morning.
Shapovalov will face world No. 34 Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinal.
Shapovalov won two straight sets after dropping the first to secure the second top-10 win of his career. The match was so tightly contested each player won exactly 100 points.
Shapovalov lost the first two games of the third set but pushed the match to a tiebreak where he bested Tsitsipas 7-3 to complete the comeback.

Both players comfortably held serve throughout the two-hour and 14-minute match, only relinquishing two break points each.
