Milos Raonic will not be taking part in the upcoming French Open.
The 27-year-old Canadian announced on the eve of the next Grand Slam at Roland Garros that he officially withdrew from the prestigious tournament, doing so on Twitter.
It is with a heavy heart that I am withdrawing from @rolandgarros. I have many great memories there, but I know I need to continue working hard to put myself in the best position when I step out on the court. Thank you all for your support and see you soon on the grass.

Raonic is the 22nd-ranked men's player in the world. He did not take part in this week's Italian Open in Rome due to issues with his knee. In his most recent match on May 10, Raonic was ousted in the Round of 16 by fellow Canadian Denis Shapovalov in Madrid.
So far in 2018, Raonic is 11-6 in match play, including 4-1 on clay.
In the year's first Grand Slam, Raonic bowed out in the first round, losing in four sets to 86th-ranked Lukas Lacko at the Australian Open.
