Move over, Denis Shapovalov. There's another teen prodigy set to take the tennis world by storm.

Felix Auger-Aliassime captured his second ATP Challenger Tour title of the season on Saturday with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 victory against Iñigo Cervantes at the Copa Sevilla.

His run in Seville has catapulted him up the ATP world rankings, with the Montreal native about to become the youngest player (17-years-old) to break the Top 200 since Rafael Nadal did it back in 2002.

In the wake of the media frenzy surrounding 18-year-old Denis Shapovalov's meteoric rise, Auger-Aliassime could give Canada a one-two punch of up-and-comers in the men's game. Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov grew up together as tennis phenoms, with each pushing the other to greater heights.

Even following the tournament that thrust Shapovalov to sudden worldwide fame, Auger-Aliassime provided a reminder that the two players aren't far apart in ability, even if "Shapo" currently enjoys much more notoriety.

“He was kicking my ass in practice the week after [the Rogers Cup in] Montreal,” Shapovalov said of his good friend.

With Saturday's win, perhaps we are a step closer to witnessing the two Canadian prodigies do battle on a bigger stage.
