Canada tennis is staying in the Fed Cup's World Group II for 2019.
Mississauga, Ont. native Bianca Andreescu and Ottawa's Gabriela Dabrowski teamed up for a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over Ukraine's Olga Savchuk and Kateryna Bondarenko in the decisive match Sunday in Montreal, giving Canada a 3-2 victory in the best-of-five series.

The pair held its nerve in the final game of the match, winning all four points to send Ukaine into European zone play next year. After the win, Andreescu and Dabrowski joined the entire team on the court, locking arms and jumping in celebration.

The two nations split the first four singles matches of the World Group II playoff over the weekend, with Genie Bouchard coming up big with two vital wins for the Canadians.
Bouchard held off Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5) in a two hour and 39 minute marathon match earlier Sunday afternoon.
