What can the Mexican national team do for an encore? After their impressive 4-0 plastering of Honduras in their 2023 Gold Cup opener, Mexico will face a dangerous Haiti side on Thursday in Arizona.

El Tri's interim manager, Jaime Lozano, will hope that his magical touch continues through this tournament since a Gold Cup trophy would give him a strong chance of staying on as head coach through the 2026 World Cup. The players have already made public that it's a scenario they would support.

Haiti also won their Gold Cup Group B opener (2-1) in come-from-behind fashion over Qatar, which means a victory in this match would give either one of Haiti or Mexico a decided edge to win the group heading into the final match

Mexico have dominated the all-time series, winning eight of the 12 head-to-head matchups, with Haiti's lone win coming in a 1971 friendly.

Mexico vs Haiti odds

The betting market has made Haiti 9-to-1 underdogs heading into Thursday's match, and it also doesn't see both teams scoring, which is probably the most interesting prop available given the 'yes' is at plus-money.

Haiti have already shown how dangerous they can be in attack. If it's a full-strength Haiti lineup that's announced an hour before kickoff, including both of their top forwards Nazon and Pierrot, the BTTS could be an interesting play for bettors.
