Manchester United's chances of a Premier League top-four finish suffered a blow after they slipped to a 1-0 defeat away at West Ham.
Erik ten Hag's side ended the weekend with a one-point lead over fifth-place Liverpool, but still with a game in hand over Jurgen Klopp's team, ahead of the crucial run-in.
Despite a positive start at the London Stadium, United were unable to snatch the initiative, as David de Gea's blunder allowed Said Benrahma's shot to sneak past him for West Ham's opener.
The Hammers looked to increase their advantage after the break, with Tomas Soucek denied by De Gea, and Michail Antonio seeing a goal ruled out.
United struggled to break through a dogged home defence in the closing stages, as the top-four race burst back into life and David Moyes moved closer to Premier League safety.

Top-four battle back on as United slip
A trip to West Ham would have been been earmarked by United as a chance to secure a positive result on the road in their push for a top-four spot.
However, their chances of Champions League qualification have been hit by back-to-back losses, with Liverpool looking to close the gap in the coming weeks.
United's run-in is favourable, with four games remaining, including three home clashes, but Ten Hag's fulltime frustration was clear.
"First half, I think we played well and created a lot of opportunities, but on the first occasion they scored a goal," he said.
"Of course, I'm disappointed with the result, same as Thursday [against Brighton]. We lost for ourselves and now we have one week to recover, for the first time since Christmas, we need energy, because both second halves we were below our standards."
West Ham's trust in Moyes rewarded
Moyes is one of two men this season — alongside Nottingham Forest's Steve Cooper — to avoid the sack as a Premier League bottom-half manager.
The Hammers have relied on the Scotsman's experience to steer them away from Premier League relegation and they are on the brink of achieving that after beating United.
Getting 37 points on the board opens up a seven-point gap above the relegation zone, and whilst mathematical safety is not assured, Moyes knows his plan is reaping rewards.
"We showed huge character, I thought we played well and they also had to defend well at times. Overall I thought the performance was excellent tonight," he said.
"The result leaves us much better off, as it is much harder for other teams to catch us, they'll find it very difficult to get the points needed to do that.
"The number [to ensure survival] isn't confirmed so we have to look forward to the next game and try and pick up more points."
