After both sides played out emotional and hard-fought draws with big clubs over the weekend, Sevilla and Arsenal now meet in the Champions League group stage in Spain on Tuesday.

The Gunners required a comeback to draw Chelsea 2-2 on Saturday, falling two goals behind before finally being brought to life after Declan Rice's goal with just 12 minutes to go. Mikel Arteta will want to see his side show more electricity against one of La Liga's most unpredictable teams.

Sevilla, meanwhile, held strong in a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid over the weekend, going ahead through a David Alaba own goal before Dani Carvajal's equaliser. It was a truly even contest that will give Sevilla confidence of facing anyone in Europe's elite moving forward.

Arsenal sit second in the Champions League Group B standings after their earlier defeat to Lens, while Sevilla are third courtesy of a pair of draws to this point. The group table is still wide open at this point, so this match will be key in determining the final positions.

Sevilla vs Arsenal lineups & team news

Sevilla are without a few fringe players but Diego Alonso should have his first-choice XI available. Former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz and young defender Kike Salas are out with muscle injuries, but neither are regular starters at this point.

Sergio Ramos has been a solid addition for Sevilla at the back, playing well over the weekend against his old employers. Alonso's XI is unchanged from that draw with Real Madrid.

Sevilla starting lineup (4-3-3): Nyland (GK) — Navas, Gudelj, Ramos, Acuna — Soumare, Sow, Rakitic — Lukebakio, En-Nesyri, Ocampos.

After suffering a relatively extensive injury crisis before the international break, Arsenal have almost all their players available. Only Jurrien Timber, who is recovering from an ACL injury, is sidelined.

Bukayo Saka is now fit to resume his traditionally heavy schedule, and William Saliba is healthy as well.

Takehiro Tomiyasu replaced Oleksandr Zinchenko at halftime against Chelsea and the Japan international gets the nod to start at left-back in Arteta's only change.

Arsenal starting lineup (4-3-3): Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu — Rice, Jorginho, Odegaard — Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
