Canadian teams now lead each conference in Major League Soccer.
The Vancouver Whitecaps took hold of first place in the Western Conference on Wednesday night after an emphatic 3-0 victory over Minnesota United. With Toronto FC keeping an iron grip on top spot in the East (and the Supporters' Shield race), both divisions are led by sides from the Great White North.

Vancouver took the lead in Wednesday's clash early, with Yordy Reyna bringing down an impressive cross-field pass from Marcel de Jong and slipping it by Minnesota goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth in the fifth minute of play.

The Whitecaps doubled the lead through an Erik Hurtado goal at the half-hour mark, with Brek Shea adding a third in the dying minutes as Vancouver cruised to victory.
With 44 points, Vancouver is even at the top of the west with Cascadia rival Portland, but the Whitecaps' total of 13 wins is one better than that of the Timbers.
As the Whitecaps battle for western supremacy and TFC keeps pace for a best-ever MLS regular season, the stars could be aligning for an all-Canadian MLS Cup final. We'll find out for sure in December.
