The U.S. women's national team took the top spot in Group F with a 2-0 win over Sweden on Thursday in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Sweden and the USWNT already qualified for the Round of 16, having won their previous two matches, but the two nations were jockeying for positioning in the next round with the group win.

Lindsey Horan opened the match with her second goal of the tournament just three minutes in, the fastest goal in the World Cup so far. The Americans wouldn't find the back of the net again until the second half, on a goal from Tobin Heath after some help from the video assisted referee.
