Tuchel reveals how many summer signings he wants at Champions League winners Chelsea image

Thomas Tuchel is ready to bolster his ranks at Chelsea after guiding the Blues to Champions League glory, with the German tactician looking to make "two or three" additions in the summer transfer window.

Roman Abramovich bankrolled an elaborate spending spree in 2020, with Frank Lampard freed to snap up the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Edouard Mendy.

Funds will be spread a little finer this time around, but the intention is to get more bodies on board as those at Stamford Bridge seek to build on a productive campaign that delivered a top-four finish in the Premier League and European glory.

What has been said?

Tuchel is hoping to chase down a number of targets, telling reporters on his recruitment plans: "Two or three could be very, very good.

"It’s a constant thing to never deny change.

"That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing."

Who have Chelsea been linked with?

Harry Kane Tottenham

The Blues are being heavily linked with top strikers across Europe.

Despite enjoying domestic and continental success in 2020-21, Chelsea saw only three players reach double figures in terms of goals scored.

Two of those, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud, appear set to move on this summer after finding regular game time hard to come by.

More firepower is therefore being sought, with Werner losing his predatory instincts, and moves are being mooted for Tottenham star Harry Kane, Borussia Dortmund youngster Erling Haaland and former Blues man Romelu Lukaku - who has been shining at Inter.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has been a long-standing target in west London, and may be targeted again this summer, while Tuchel has also seen a raid on his former employers at Paris Saint-Germain speculated on, with Brazilian defender Marquinhos among those in his sights.
