Barcelona and Sergio Aguero are back in the headlines — but this time, it’s not for a heroic moment on the pitch.

Aguero’s claim: What went wrong?
Aguero, who joined Barcelona in 2021 after a stellar career at Manchester City, had his journey at Camp Nou cut short when he was forced to retire in December 2021 due to a heart issue.
At the time, it seemed like both the player and the club parted ways on good terms. However, a recent report from Mundo Deportivo revealed that Aguero is suing Barcelona for €3 million, which he claims the club still owes him as per his contract.
According to Barcelona's financial report for the 2023-24 season, the club received a conciliation notice from Aguero for the same amount.

The case is now in the hands of the social court after a conciliation meeting between both parties in June 2024 didn’t resolve the issue.
Barcelona, however, insists they have no official record of the claim, leaving fans puzzled over how this financial dispute arose after what appeared to be an amicable exit.
While Aguero's career at Barcelona was brief, this legal battle could linger on for quite some time.
In the meantime, the club will be focused on their upcoming match against Sevilla after the international break, while Aguero continues to fight his case off the pitch.
