Already through to the Round of 16, Real Madrid host Napoli in Champions League group stage play on Wednesday at the Bernabeu with a chance to confirm the top spot in Group C.

Madrid sit five points above their second-place Italian guests, needing just a draw in this match to mathematically secure first place in the group and a seeded spot in the knockout stage.

Napoli, meanwhile, are not yet confirmed through to the knockout stage. They sit four points above third-place Braga, and even a draw here would go a long way towards confirming their Round of 16 berth, while a surprise road victory would solidify a place.

These two teams played to a 3-2 thriller in the reverse fixture, as Federico Valverde forced an own-goal in the 78th minute which proved the difference.

Real Madrid vs Napoli prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Real Madrid (-115)
  • Score prediction: Real Madrid 2-1 Napoli

Real Madrid are through to the Champions League knockout stage, but will prioritize this match to hold Napoli off and confirm their place atop the group. Los Blancos have just one loss all season, falling in the Madrid derby back in late September, but have a perfect record through four European matches thus far.

Napoli, meanwhile, have failed to capture the incredible form they enjoyed for much of last season, and while many of their adverse results have oddly come at home this season, they still don't quite stack up well enough to back at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid vs Napoli: best bet

    • Pick: Jude Bellingham to score anytime
    • Odds: +140 (DraftKings)

Simply put, Jude Bellingham's prolific start to the season is not a fluke. The young England sensation has scored and incredible 14 goals in thus far – a record start by any Real Madrid player in his first 15 matches with the club.

Incredibly, he's doing this not as a striker, but as a No. 10. With Vinicius Jr sidelined due to injury, Rodrygo and Joselu have been tasked with significant creative duties up front, and they're delivering so far, allowing Bellingham to exhibit his sensational finishing.

Bellingham's 14 goals have come on just 7.09 xG, which he has converted into 9.89 xGOT, giving him the second-highest finishing differential of any player in Europe's top five leagues behind only Harry Kane, who has amassed almost twice the volume of chances.

There's no reason Bellingham can't extend his perfect Champions League scoring record, having bagged a goal in each of his previous three European matches.

Real Madrid vs Napoli prop bet

    • Pick: 30+ total shots
    • Odds: +115 (FanDuel)

Of all European teams across all competitions, Real Madrid and Napoli sit third and fourth when it comes to shots taken per game, each averaging around 18 efforts per match. On the flip side, they both still face around 11.5 shots per match from opponents, which provides plenty of reason to think they will concede chances as well as create them.

That held perfectly true the first time these clubs met, as they ripped off exactly 18 shots each. While this leg shouldn't be as enthralling, with both teams knowing a point does them plenty of good, they will still undoubtedly play to their own style.
