Can PSG finally defeat Real Madrid in Champions League play?
The French club is winless in its last four UCL meetings with the Spanish giant, having lost three in a row versus Madrid. Not that many clubs can boast success against Los Blancos, who are the most decorated club in the history of the competition.
Even so, PSG's history against Madrid has been particularly rough.
Perhaps now is the best time for the Parisians to topple Madrid — as Zinedine Zidane attempts to restore some of the dominance that has been lost by the club since he first walked away from the managerial position after winning the UCL in 2018. Los Blancos didn't have a good UCL campaign last season by their own lofty standards, losing three games for the first time since 2013. Zidane's men haven't looked like world beaters to start 2019-20 either, as they've amassed a 2-2-0 record through four games in La Liga action.

However, everything Madrid has been going through pales in comparison to the drama surrounding Parc des Princes this year. Neymar's very public attempts to leave the club in the summer overshadowed everything else as PSG scrambled to convince its biggest star to actually suit up. He eventually did, after a big-money move to Barcelona fell apart at the last minute, but the relationship between the Brazilian and the team is clearly not ideal heading into the UCL opener.
Even with the 27-year-old superstar suspended for this match, his narrative still dominates.
Will the Neymar sideshow derail PSG's best opportunity to claim victory against the most decorated club in UEFA Champions League history?
