To no one's surprise, the top two teams in Ligue 1 will meet to contest the 2017-18 Coupe de la Ligue final in Bordeaux.

Paris Saint-Germain faces AS Monaco in a rematch of last year's final, with Leonardo Jardim's Rouges et Blancs looking to exact revenge after PSG claimed a 4-1 victory in the previous edition.

PSG has won the past four tournaments, with its seven total Coupe de la Ligue titles representing the most a single club has ever claimed. Monaco doesn't have nearly the same history of its opponent in this competition, having been crowned Coupe de la Ligue champion only once before, in 2003.

While Jardim's side hasn't tasted much success in France's domestic cup tournament when compared to PSG, Monaco does hold the distinction of being the reigning Ligue 1 title holder. The 2016-17 season was the first time a club other than PSG had won the league title since 2012, with Monaco ending a four-year stretch of dominance by the Parisians.

Now, with a different trophy on the line, Monaco looks to repeat that accomplishment.
