After being hammered 4-1 away to Aston Villa on Sunday, the going doesn't get much easier for West Ham United as they travel to Greece to face Olympiacos in the Europa League.

The visitors may have won both of their opening group-stage matches, but a visit to Piraeus can prove a daunting task for even the strongest teams in European competition.

Backed by their fervent supporters, the home side come into this clash sitting top of the Greek Super League standings, having gone unbeaten across their opening eight league matches of the campaign.

They'll also be desperate to grab a positive result here as they sit on just one point after two group-stage matches in this competition. A win could go a long way towards boosting their hopes of a place in the knockout phase.

Olympiacos vs West Ham best bet

    • Pick: Both teams to score — YES
    • Odds: -160 (BetMGM)

We mentioned the hostile atmosphere that West Ham are likely to face here and as a result, we're backing both sides to get on the scoresheet in this clash.

The visitors are finding goalscoring easy of late, which bodes well for them here, but after receiving a bit of a lesson from the Aston Villa attack over the weekend, the London side's backline could struggle again.

Add into that the fact that Olympiacos have scored 23 times across their eight leagues matches this season and have netted 2+ goals in each of their past seven home outings — in fact, they've scored four goals in four of their most recent five home matches — and we think David Moyes' side could be up against it here.

Olympiacos vs West Ham prop bet

    • Pick: Jarrod Bowen to score anytime
    • Odds: +210 (BetMGM)

In stunning goalscoring form of late, we're backing Jarrod Bowen to continue that in Greece.

He netted again versus Villa at the weekend, which made it five away goalscoring performances in succession for him in the Premier League to open up the season. Only Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah had ever managed that feat before.

The winger also enjoys playing in European competition for the Hammers, netting nine times across 23 prior such matches, which of course included the winner in the Europa Conference League final last season against Fiorentina.
