My partnership with Niasse will give Everton a ‘different dynamic’ – Calvert-Lewin image

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is confident his partnership with Oumar Niasse will give Everton a ‘different dynamic’.

During the Senegal international's spell with the Toffees U23 side, he was paired with the 20-year-old striker - a combination that produced eight goals.

Now back in the senior setup with the youngster, both players were on the scoresheet in last week's dramatic 3-2 win over Watford at Goodison Park.

Niasse's 67th minute effort halved the hosts' two-goal deficit before Calvert-Lewin netted the equaliser six minutes after his intoduction in the 68th minute. A late Leighton Baines penalty sealed victory for the Merseysiders.

And the former Sheffield United forward believes the understanding he developed with Niasse in the team's B side will prove effective and create more problems for opposition defenders.

“The more you play with someone, the better you get to know them and their game,” Calvert-Lewin told club website.

“I played with Oumar in the Under-23s last season, so we learned how each other plays.

“As a team, it gives you a different dynamic when you have two strikers.

"It can sometimes cause opponents more problems.

“It is good to have a hand up there sometimes.

“You can share the workload but I am happy to play up there by myself or with a partner.

“It does not faze me as long as I am playing.”
