Manchester United are in desperate need of Premier League points to ensure their season does not end in bitter disappointment.

Erik ten Hag's side were in sixth place in the table and eight points outside the top four with 10 games to go in 2023/24. With a title bid out of the question, UEFA Champions League qualification now feels paramount if they are to strengthen their team significantly for next season, and if manager Ten Hag wants to keep his job.

Their next match was due to be at home to struggling Sheffield United in what was set to be their last game before the March international break. However, due to the FA Cup quarterfinals, the meeting with the Blades was postponed.

The Sporting News has the latest on exactly why the game was moved, when it is likely to take place, and which other Premier League fixtures have been impacted by the domestic cup.
