Liverpool Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Huddersfield image

Jurgen Klopp has instructed Liverpool to "get immediately back on the winning track" when they travel to Huddersfield Town following two consecutive defeats in which they turned in abysmal performances.

A 1-0 league loss at Swansea City was compounded by a 3-2 FA Cup exit courtesy of West Browmich Albion at Anfield on Saturday, doing a disservice to their 18-match unbeaten run which preceded the nightmarish week.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, could lose their opening four league matches of a calendar year for the first time since 1988.

LIVERPOOL INJURIES

“We have again a few knocks, different things, but nothing decided so far in this moment,” Klopp said when assessing his options at Melwood on Monday.

“It looks like all the players who were available for the last game are available again, but not 100 per cent.”

Adam Lallana and Ragnar Klavan have not recovered from muscle issues and will remain on the sidelines.

SUSPENSIONS

Neither side have any suspension concerns for this fixture.

LIVERPOOL POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Loris Karius should return between the sticks, with Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson resuming their roles at full-back.

Jordan Henderson, who made his comeback off the bench against West Brom, should be in contention to start on Tuesday.

Klopp could choose to refresh his forward options with Danny Ings or Dominic Solanke if required.

HUDDERSFIELD TEAM NEWS

Klopp will be determined to see Liverpool show a strong reaction as he comes up against his best friend, David Wagner.

But the Huddersfield manager is looking to profit from the opportunity to further weaken the Reds.

"They have lost two games in a row. They look vulnerable at the minute," he said. "Does it mean we will be successful? No. Does it mean we have a chance? Absolutely.

David Wagner Huddersfield Town

"We have in every game, especially here at the John Smith's Stadium, and if there's a chance we will be there to grab it with both hands."

If Huddersfield are to frustrate Liverpool in the first 45, the visitors should remain patient - no side has scored fewer second half goals in the league this season than the Terriers (7), who have also conceded more after the interval than any other side (30).

Midfielder Danny Williams was substituted with a dead leg in the FA Cup draw against Birmingham and will require a late check.

Terence Kongolo should be available after shaking off a niggle.
