Liverpool have returned to the UEFA Europa League for the first time since they were runners-up in the competition in the 2015/16 season.

The three-time UEFA Cup winners had progressed from the group stage on the five of the occasions they had participated since the competition was rebranded as the Europa League in 2009/10. They made relatively light work of doing so again in 2023/24.

Despite the frustration surrounding missing out on a Premier League top-four finish in 2022/23, and a continuing place in the Champions League, Liverpool are amongst the favourites to win the Europa League title in Dublin.

Liverpool have been synonymous with the European Cup/Champions League, with six titles, but their focus will be on Europe's secondary tournament in the months ahead.
