Two teams each with early victories under their belt in Asian Cup play gun for the top spot in their group as South Korea and Jordan clash in Qatar.
Both sides sit atop Group E with three points from their opening games, as South Korea took care of Bahrain and Jordan blasted Malaysia.
Knowing the two defeated sides play each other leaving one potentially with three points at the end, victory here will be important to remain in control of their knockout stage lives heading into the group finale.
With South Korea gunning for the Asian Cup title and Jordan looking to do damage as well after a fine opening performance, this game could be a foreshadow to how each will fare later in the tournament — if they eventually manage to reach that far.

Jordan vs South Korea prediction, odds
- Moneyline lean: South Korea (-380)
- Score prediction: Jordan 1-3 South Korea
This South Korea side, who we at the Sporting News picked to win the whole competition, is just too powerful to falter here. While they'll get a good test from a very attack-minded Jordan side, they match up well against teams that want to go shot-for-shot.
Knowing the top spot in Group E is likely on the line here, the Taegeuk Warriors will find it enjoyable to carve up their opponents, and could be in for another big day in front of goal.

Jordan vs South Korea best bet
- Pick: South Korea over 2.5 goals
- Odds: +120 (Sports Interaction)
Even without Hee-Chan Hwang who is likely to miss out again with injury, South Korea should have plenty of attacking flair. Heung-Min Son is always a threat to score, and was solid in the opening win over Bahrain, but he took a back seat to the Kang-In Lee show. The PSG youngster brought his excellent club form with him to international duty, scoring twice and creating three chances for teammates as well.
Both should be heavily involved here, and South Korea have a number of other solid attacking players to go along with the pair — Jae-Sung Lee was exceptional in a creative role against Bahrain, as was In-Beom Hwang who found the net himself as well.
Jordan kept a lid on Malaysia in their opener, but they are prone to shipping big numbers. Last year in friendlies, they conceded three to Serbia, six to Norway, two to Azerbaijan, three to Iran, and two to Iraq, while also conceding twice to Saudi Arabia in the first half of a 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat.
Jordan vs South Korea prop bet
- Pick: Both teams to score — YES
- Odds: +125 (Sports Interaction)
While Jordan may end up overwhelmed in this match against a side with significant firepower, they should be able to find a consolation or two themselves. In addition to the four-goal outburst against lowly Malaysia in their opener, they were shut out just twice across nine matches in 2023 (seven friendlies and two World Cup qualifiers).
In those two games without a goal, they still managed eight shots in the heavy friendly defeat to Norway, while out-shooting Saudi Arabia 17-7 in their World Cup qualifying defeat, disappointing in front of goal but still creating numerous chances.
Despite their initial victory, South Korea coughed up a goal to Bahrain just after halftime, ending a seven-match run without conceding a single time. There will be chances for the underdogs to get on the scoresheet even in defeat.
