A new Premier League season is right around the corner, and the new campaign coincides with a new home for the English top flight in Canada.

Fans can watch all 380 Premier League matches live and on-demand on fuboTV, which is now the exclusive broadcaster of the English top flight across Canada.

The start of the 2022-23 Premier League season is an early one given the nearly month-long break for the 2022 World Cup in November. The opening match is set for, Aug. 5 when Crystal Palace take on Arsenal, with the final matchday taking place on Sunday, May 28.

Manchester City enter as two-time defending champions with a host of top clubs — Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and others — hoping to unseat them.

The race will be as fierce as ever to finish top four and clinch a UEFA Champions League berth, while other European spots will also be up for grabs. But some of the best drama usually unfolds at the bottom of the table, where the battle to avoid relegation carries major implications for the clubs involved.

What happened in the Premier League 2021/22

Manchester City repeated as Premier League champions by a single point over Liverpool, which made a strong push in the second half of the season and fell just short. Both clubs have added star forwards — Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez — which should make for another spectacular title battle.

Tottenham beat out rivals Arsenal to a top-four finish and a UEFA Champions League berth under new manager Antonio Conte and they'll be expected to take another step in 2022-23.

Meanwhile, despite Cristiano Ronaldo's scoring exploits, Manchester United finished in a Europa League qualification spot (6th) and the Red Devils have hired a new coach, Erik ten Hag, to attempt to take them back to the upper echelon of the league.

It was a thrilling finish at the bottom of the table, where Everton and Leeds United survived after making coaching changes. For Leeds, it came down to a win on the final day of the season, sending Burnley to join Watford and Norwich City, who were both long destined for the drop to the second tier.

Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest were the three teams from the second division who rose up to earn promotion to the Premier League. While the first two qualified automatically as the top two teams, Forest needed to win a Championship playoff to end a 23-year absence from the top flight.

Premier League break for FIFA World Cup 2022

What will make the 2022-23 English top-flight season unique is the nearly month-long break for the 2022 World Cup, which is set to be played between Nov. 21 and Dec. 18.

The Premier League season will pause after Matchday 16 on Nov. 13, 2022. Premier League games will then restart on Boxing Day 2022 (Dec. 26).
