Teams qualified for Gold Cup semifinals 2023

The winners of the four quarterfinalists advanced to the Gold Cup semifinals.

Panama 4-0 Qatar

An opener from Edgar Barcenas was followed by a hat-trick from Ismael Diaz as Los Canaleros rolled over Qatar 4-0 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

It was a comfortable tuneup match for Panama ahead of a big semifinal test against the USA or Canada in San Diego.

Mexico 2-0 Costa Rica

After a competitive first half, Mexico broke through via a controversial penalty kick converted by Orbelin Pineda. Then Erick Sanchez sealed the result a few minutes from the end of the match to see El Tri advance to Las Vegas, where they will meet Guatemala or Jamaica.

Guatemala 0-1 Jamaica

Guatemala's Cinderella run ended at the quarterfinal stage, as Jamaica advanced thanks to a lone goal by Luton Town's Amari'i Bell. The superior quality of the full-strength Reggae Boyz made the difference in the end with Everton's Demarai Gray dishing a sensational pass that made the decisive Bell goal.

USA 2-2 Canada (USA advance 3-2 on penalties)

It was an incredible back-and-forth between the two rivals with Canada equalizing late and then taking the lead in extra time, only for the USA to net an equalizer of their own.

The contest was decided on penalties, where U.S. goalkeeper Matt Turner came up with two saves, and Canada also struck the crossbar as the Americans prevailed 4-2 in the shootout.
