Manchester United will aim to respond to their thrashing at the hands of Manchester City when they head to Goodison Park to face Everton.

The Red Devils saw a four-game winning run end in humbling fashion as they lost 6-3 to an Erling Haaland-inspired City, who led 6-1 until the closing stages of the second half.

Erik ten Hag's side won 3-2 at Omonia in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday and have only a short turnaround to prepare for Frank Lampard's Everton, having stayed in Cyprus for an extra training session on Friday.

The Toffees, meanwhile, remain unbeaten in all competitions since August and came from behind to beat Southampton in their previous Premier League outing.

Everton vs. Manchester United lineups

In a huge boost for Everton, striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could make his first appearance of the season on Sunday having recovered from a knee injury. He starts the game on the bench.

Defenders Yerry Mina (ankle) and Mason Holgate (knee) are still out, as are Nathan Patterson (ankle), Ben Godfrey (leg fracture) and Andros Townsend (knee). Anthony Gordon was recalled in place of Dwight McNeil, while former United midfielder James Garner is a substitute.

Everton lineup (4-3-3): Pickford (GK) — Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko — Onana, Gueye, Iwobi — Gray, Maupay, Gordon

Everton subs: Calvert-Lewin, Ruben Vinagre, John, Begovic, Garner, Rondon, McNeil, Keane, Davies

Raphael Varane was only passed fit enough for the bench for United, where he joins Cristiano Ronaldo. Erik ten Hag has made four changes from the starting XI that faced Man City: Luke ShawVictor LindelofCasemiro and Anthony Martial are in for Tyrell Malacia, Varane, Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho, who is not even on the bench.

Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea (GK) — Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw — Casemiro, Eriksen — Antony, Fernandes, Rashford — Martial

Manchester United subs: Sancho, Ronaldo, Malacia, Heaton, Elanga, Pellistri, Varane, Fred, McTominay

Everton vs. Manchester United betting odds

United are favourites for the victory here but not by a significant degree. After all, Lampard has made Everton tough to beat in recent weeks, and Calvert-Lewin's possible return will be a huge boost to a relatively goal-shy attack.

Given United are returning from European exploits and have looked shaky in defence in the past week, backing a score draw may not be a bad idea.
