The Premier League teams to qualify for European football for the 2023/24 campaign are set with the top 7 finishers earning a berth to the UEFA cup competitions.
The top four teams from the 2022/23 Premier League season reached the Champions League, followed by 5th and 6th heading to the Europa League. The 7th-place team earned a Conference League qualification berth.
That final European spot was not confirmed until the last minute of the Premier League season, with Aston Villa's win over Brighton & Hove Albion sealing it for Unai Emery's team.
Seventh place completes the list of European participants as Emery, a cup specialist, lifts Aston Villa from the relegation zone to continental competition.

How many Premier League teams qualified for Europe in 2023/24?
As is usually the case in recent years, seven Premier League clubs will compete in European competition in 2023/24.
England has four Champions League places, two Europa League places, and one Europa Conference League place guaranteed prior to the start of the season.
2023/24 Champions League
- Manchester City
- Arsenal
- Manchester United
- Newcastle United
The Premier League top four ended with Manchester City defending their title with rivals Arsenal in second place.
Mikel Arteta's Gunners lost out in the title race, but they will bring Champions League football back to the Emirates Stadium, for the first time since 2016/17.
Manchester United finished in third place, as Eddie Howe's Newcastle secured fourth spot, to return to the Champions League for the first time since 2002.
All four teams will join the Champions League competition at the group stage.
2023/24 Europa League
- Liverpool
- Brighton & Hove Albion
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool dropped out of the top four for the first time under the former Borussia Dortmund head coach, based on a full season in charge.
They will return to the Europa League for 2023/24, a competition where Klopp lost to Sevilla in the final in 2016, in his first few months on Merseyside.
However, the big news from the Europa League qualification is Brighton & Hove Albion clinching a first-ever European place, after finishing in sixth.
Both Liverpool and Brighton will join this competition in the group stage. The winner of the Europa League gets an automatic Champions League berth the following season.
2023/24 Conference League
- Aston Villa
Villa held their nerve, amid final day pressure from Tottenham and Brentford, to grab seventh place in the 2022/23 Premier League with a European return for the first time since 2011.
Unlike the other competitions, Villa will need to win a playoff qualifier before they can be part of the group stage.
West Ham went from the qualification stage of the 2022/23 Conference League all the way to the final against Fiorentina.
