When DAZN launched in Canada, one of its goals was to become the sports streaming home for European soccer.
On Thursday, DAZN made a bold step in reaching that goal, announcing it secured an exclusive three-year deal to stream every Champions League and Europa League match, beginning in August of this year.
In Canada, DAZN will exclusively stream all 138 UEFA Champions League and 205 UEFA Europa League matches throughout the 2018/19 season, including the Super Cup, live and on-demand.
Currently, DAZN streams Champions League and Europa League contests in Canada, but not all matches. However, Saturday's Champions League Final between Liverpool and Real Madrid does air live on DAZN in Canada.

Before the announcement was made public on Thursday, DAZN officials held a conference call with current subscribers so that they would hear the news first, a unique approach in treating the customer.
"We're giving the power back to the fans," stated Paulo Senra, DAZN's Head of PR in Canada.
“We pride ourselves on putting fans first, and we look forward to continuing to bring new rights and content to passionate Canadian fans, on the devices and in the ways they are consuming sport," James Rushton, CEO of DAZN, said in a statement.
