It's a match being billed as an opportunity for payback by the hosts, perhaps indicating a real rivalry is finally brewing.
The United States hosts Canada in Orlando on Friday in a do-or-die match for the Americans in the CONCACAF Nations League. Of course, the Canadians famously claimed a 2-0 victory over their southern neighbours last month in Toronto, putting Canada in the driver's seat to advance out of Group A and into the championship round. Both teams have beaten up on Cuba, with the U.S. still having to play the island nation one more time next week, but the real battle for top of the group is between the North American countries.
Canada needs just a draw in Orlando to move on after last month's historic victory over the U.S., and coach John Herdman called in mostly the same squad in order to get the job done.

Herdman's counterpart, Gregg Berhalter, has had a lot more headaches in roster selection. The Americans will be without star attacker Christian Pulisic as well as Tyler Adams, Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and goalkeeper Zach Steffan for Friday's crucial clash, putting even more pressure on the remaining players to try to avenge the USMNT's first loss to Canada in 34 years.
